Game Of Thrones: 9 Fan Theories On How It Will End

2. A Battle Of Ice And Fire

Ice = White Walkers. Fire = Dragons. I know, big shocker, right?

Basically, the Song of Ice and Fire is going to come down to the battle of these two great forces, regardless of whatever scheming Cersei is up to. This is perhaps the most widely-held theory out of all of them on the list, and from everything we've seen or read so far it does seem the most likely. The White Walkers have made their way into Westeros, causing chaos and destruction, and now the realm must unite to stop them.

There may not be enough dragonglass or Valyrian steel to go around, but when Daenerys has two huge dragons then it evens the playing field somewhat. Of course the dragon must have three heads, so this posits that there'll be two others riding alongside Dany to save the world. One is commonly thought to be Jon, thanks to his Targ-lineage and general hero status.

As for the other? Well, the Night King has kind of ruined this theory, but there is the possibility of Bran warging into Viserion and taking control of the undead dragon, although it's a little more out there.

Regardless of the rider, the fate of the world will be settled in one final, epic battle for the dawn, with the two still-living dragons and what's left of humanity going up against the White Walkers, and it would look absolutely amazing.
