Vladimír Furdík may not have been the first actor to play The Night King (he replaced Richard Brake who was forced to depart after scheduling conflicts), but he was arguably present for the majority of the character's most famous moments.

A veteran stunt performer who had worked on the likes of Spartacus, Skyfall and Thor: The Dark World, it was nice to see him get the chance to shine on-screen in such a major role - and it really must be said that he was nothing short of chilling (no pun intended).

Since the show's conclusion, he has moved onto another ambitious medieval-like adventure series, providing his services to Netflix's The Witcher.
