Game Of Thrones: Every Episode Ranked From Worst To Best
62. No One (S6E8)
Written By: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss Directed By: Mark Mylod
One of the weaker episodes of a great sixth season, No One really should have been better than it is.
With Arya battling the Waif and the Siege of Riverrun taking place, this should've been a big, exciting episode. Instead, that's mostly saved for the next two weeks (although it was worth it), and this instalment falls a little flat.
Tyrion's still just killing time, Daenerys' arrival is a little tacked-on, and the Siege itself is a bit of a waste, with the Blackfish killed off-screen. On the upside, Jaime had a fantastic conversation with Edmure, and a girl is Arya Stark again!
61. The Red Woman (S6E1)
Written By: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss Directed By: Jeremy Podeswa
Kicking off Season 6, The Red Woman teases viewers by refusing to confirm if Jon Snow is coming back, despite lingering on his corpse.
It's a typical season premiere, catching-up with some of the key players, and Dorne. The scenes in Meereen and Braavos aren't particularly great, but the escape sequence with Sansa and Theon is thrilling, and achieves emotional payoff with Brienne and Sansa.
Then there's the big Melisandre moment, which feels important, but for now serves more as shock factor than anything else.
