Game Of Thrones Prequel: 10 Legendary Characters We Hope To See
3. Bran The Builder
Told you we'd get here eventually. The founder of House Stark, Bran the Builder is credited with building not only the Wall, but Winterfell itself. Some believe that is actions may have been exaggerated and/or combined with other ancient kings. This is the case with a lot of these figures truth be told. Nobody knows.
Some legends say that he is a descendant of Brandon the Bloody Blade, one of the many sons of Garth Greenhand. Bran the Builder is often credited with granting the Gift to the Night's Watch, and also that he helped Durran Godsgrief build Storm's End whilst still a boy.
Other legends say he even designed the Hightower of Oldtown. Maesters tend to argue that these feats were done simply by other Starks named Brandon which begs the question, should this writer change his last name to add to the list of legendary Brandon Starks? Then again this writer has also never been one for architecture.
Jokes aside, like all of these figures, it is technically unclear that he even existed. George R.R. Martin stated he is comparable to Noah or Gilgamesh of our own time. All of the seven kingdoms have their own legends, truthful or otherwise, and are defined by them. They were almost vanished from the world early on though...
