After seven episodes of careful plotting and planning, Game of Thrones sprung into life in the previous two installments. Now, after the slow burn has turned into a raging fire (RIP Shireen), weve arrived at the season finale. Will the flames be extinguished, or destroy everything in their path? The entirety of season 5 has been building to this point, character arcs and events all set up to lead to whatever happens in this final hour. Thats not a lot of time with so many stories in need of a resolution, and a part of the finale will be setting things up for the next season as much they are wrapping up this one. A lot of the storylines will likely converge here, with Stannis marching towards Winterfell and Ramsay and Sansa, and Brienne lurking nearby; Jaime and Bronn ready to head back to Kings Landing, where Cersei is set to face judgement; and Davos riding back to Jon Snow and The Wall. Thats not to mention Aryas continued Faceless Man training, Daenerys flying off on Drogon, and the Queensguard shes left behind, and a couple of characters we havent heard from in a little while, but are sure to be waiting in the shadows and pulling the strings. As usual HBO have released a teaser for the episode and a bunch of photos that give us some clues as to what to expect, so heres a look at what well be seeing in the season finale
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
