Game Of Thrones Preview: What To Expect From Season Finale Mother's Mercy
11. Mother of Dragons
Episode 9 ended on a moment fans have been waiting for since the end of season 1, as Daenerys finally got to fly on one of her dragons. Drogon came in to save the day when shed seemingly accepted death at the hands of the Sons of the Harpy, and together the two of them took to the skies and left Meereen behind. So where do they end up? The synopsis states that Dany is surrounded by strangers while the teaser opens with a shot of a vast landscape, with just one solitary figure stood on the cliff top. Presumably this is Daenerys, but it looks a long way from civilisation. What strangers could she meet in such a place? And when she does meet them, will Drogon be with her, or has he flown off and left her alone? Either way, its unlikely that its going to be the most cordial of meetings (although much more likely to go in her favour if she has a huge dragon backing her up), while we probably wont see Dany heading back to Meereen until season 6.
