Game Of Thrones: Ranking Every Major Battle From Worst To Best
12. Assault On The Targaryen Fleet
Let's be perfectly honest here, the Greyjoy on Greyjoy battle in Stormborn on the Narrow Sea is all about the dick-swinging, swash-buckling brilliance of Euron Greyjoy. Already introduced as a sort of swaggering glam-rock space pirate, this battle proved that Uncle Euron was no slouch when it came to fighting too and that he might make an admirable stand-in for the dearly departed Ramsay Bolton as a secondary villain.
In true horror movie fashion, Euron takes his opportunity to attack while his targets - Yara and Ellaria Sand specifically - are engaging in a little salty sea sex - while Theon sits by uncomfortably and laments his lack of manhood, possibly. His attack is as devastating as it is impressive, with his flagship Silence ramming Yara's ship and his men pouring over and destroying their own former bannermen with an almost perverse hunger.
This moment was Euron's as he took out Sand Snakes and captured Yara as well as proving himself a worthy ally of Cersei at a time when it looked like she might be about to run out of them.
