Game Of Thrones: Ranking EVERY Major Death Worst To Best

25. Ellaria Sand/Tyene Sand

Game Of Thrones Ned Stark
HBO

Death: Tyene (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) was poisoned by Cersei and Ellaria was sentenced to life imprisonment. Ellaria was then forced to watch her daughter die and decompose as punishment for murdering Myrcella.

OK, Ellaria was actually sentenced to life imprisonment the last time we saw her on-screen, but there's no way she was still alive by the end.

This was a good, powerful and disturbing end for these two vile characters and the scene was beautifully acted, with the tragically wasted Indira Varma doing the best work of her Game of Thrones run, but here's the thing: this death was actually quite satisfying. It shouldn't have been.

Ellaria did suffer one of the most hellish fates imaginable and there should've been a bit more sympathy for her. Unfortunately, because of how badly-written the character was, unlike many of Game of Thrones' villains she was impossible to sympathise with.
