Game Of Thrones: Ranking EVERY Major Death Worst To Best

14. Lysa Arryn

Game Of Thrones Ned Stark
HBO

Death: Pushed to her death, through her Moon Door, by Littlefinger.

Yet another season four death now (So many characters were killed off in that season) and one of its very best.

Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie), Catelyn's (Michelle Fairley) demented sister, was another pretty appalling character (in a good way) who no-one was sorry to see go, but she sure as hell got a shocking, unexpected demise.

It's certainly safe to say few expected her to be killed by Littlefinger, who'd only just married her. He did this to seize power in the Vale, making this another example of Littlefinger's slippery nature and seemingly endless political games.

As a startling rug-pull moment, as another example of Littlefinger's villainy and as an all-around well-written, acted and directed scene, this is another magnificent death from season four. Were it not for the presence of Oberyn Martell's (Pedro Pascal) amazing "I will be your champion" monologue in the same episode, this would've been the best scene of season four's seventh episode.
