Game Of Thrones: Ranking EVERY Major Death Worst To Best

11. Ramsay Bolton

Game Of Thrones Ned Stark
HBO

Death: Eaten alive by his own hounds after being placed in their den, unprotected, by Sansa Stark.

Bring out the champagne.

In this world of morally grey characters, Ramsay Bolton was definitely the most evil of the bunch and had no redeeming qualities. As such, to see him die such a brutal death was a joyous and satisfying experience. All those poor people he'd murdered, including Osha, Rickon, his stepmother and newborn brother, as well as probably hundreds more - avenged at last.

It was also a very good death in general. It showed his own cruelty killing him; he'd starved his dogs and turned them into killers, so it was his fault that the dogs ate him. It was also particularly great that Sansa, whom he'd treated so appallingly, was the one to kill him.

It was also exactly the right time for Ramsay to leave. At this point they'd run out of ways to make him shocking and it felt like he'd played his part in the story. All in all, the show handled the exit of its most evil character extremely well.
