Game Of Thrones: Ranking EVERY Major Death Worst To Best
48. Euron Greyjoy
Death: Stabbed by Jaime Lannister.
A hammy pantomime villain who was a complete waste of a very talented actor, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Aesbaek) is one of the worst characters in the show's history. He was insufferable beyond belief and it follows that he got one of the show's worst death scenes too.
In season eight episode five, he and Jaime had a dull and meaningless swordfight on the beach at King's Landing after Euron somehow emerged largely unscathed from his incinerated fleet, just casually walking out of the sea. This is an example of plot armour, which we all saw a lot of throughout season eight.
Jaime Lannister was wearing his plot armour too, since he beat Euron despite being so out-matched and then left him to die on the beach. This entire scene was completely weightless, contrived and meaningless and given that Euron was one of the show's biggest villains during this time, it shouldn't have felt so damn empty.
Still, at least we didn't have to put up with Pilou Aesbaek's over-acting anymore.
