15. Varys

Varys, in many ways, feels like one of the last survivors of a very different game. With the dead coming, there's not much room for his powers of political manipulation, and he's not going to be any use on the battlefield either (hence why he'll be in the crypts).

However, part of Varys' strength is his ability to adapt. He keeps on paddling, in his own words. There's a survival instinct there, and he's come this far with it. It'd be great to see him survive and have one last role to play in the Great Game, or at least live to help shape a better realm, but he's in that bracket of characters who could go either way here, given how little he's had to do in recent seasons.
