8. Gregor Clegane
A notoriously famous warrior with a tendency towards extreme violence, The Mountain is surely set to die soon, if he isnt dead already. Head of House Clegane, and brother to the Hound Sandor Clegane, Gregor is only a knight and never a full lord. He is famous for being the guy who chopped of his own horse's head during a tourney, and then later raiding the Riverlands under the command of Tywin Lannister. In fact, he is often referred to as Tywins mad dog. By season four he has been selected as the Crowns champion by Queen Cersei Lannister after Tyion demands a trial by combat. The Viper, aka Prince Oberyn Martell, defeats him as the Dornish prince taunts and demands he admit to the rape of his sister Elia Martell and murder of her children. The Mountain catches him off guard though and manages to kill him, admitting to his crimes beforehand. The last anyone heard, Oberyn had secretly coated his spears with manticore venom, one of the deadliest poisons in the known world. Gregor is reportedly still alive and in the hands of former Maester Qyburn, who says his unorthodox methods may change the giant. Who knows what that could mean
