Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Blood Of My Blood'

5. What Importance Will Bran's Visions Have?

The episode opened with Bran and Meera trying to escape the wights, which was happening as Bran got a quick compilation package of recent Westeros history. There's Jaime pushing him out of the tower, Ned losing his head, Catelyn and Robb at the Red Wedding, and, in a couple of the most exciting parts, Jaime Lannister slaying the Mad King, and what appears to a scene inside the Tower of Joy.

After last week's episode, the theory of Bran being responsible for the Mad King hearing voices - "burn them all!" - gained some traction... doesn't seem quite as crazy now, does it? (But still a little bit crazy.)

Then there were the shots of wildfire. As we know, the wildfire that the Mad King planned to use to burn King's Landing was never unleashed, so what are we seeing here? The future? An alternate past? Something else entirely?

Then there's that Tower of Joy scene. It looks like Lyanna and Ned, with a lot of blood (presumably from the former). Does this mean that, as expected, we will be getting R+L=J confirmation at some point in Season 6?

Taking the visions as a whole, are these just scattergun images from Bran having the whole history of Westeros 'downloaded' into his brain, or is there added significance? Are these events he's already influenced, or needs to make sure happen?
