Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Characters Who Should Be Killed Off

3. Melisandre

The Lord of Light€™s head seductress has been at the core of some pretty deplorable incidents during her time on Game of Thrones, but nothing can possibly top her insistence that Stannis Baratheon burn his own daughter alive at the stake. The sacrifice was meant to ensure a Baratheon victory in his attempt to take Winterfell, but with the odds stacked against him the would-be king lost not only his child, but his entire army and his own life as well. That€™s a pretty big price to pay for a gamble that didn€™t pay off. Melisandre now appears to realize that she may have been backing the wrong horse all along, and if the theories are true, she will play a role in resurrecting Jon Snow from his death at the hands of his €œbrothers€ in the Night€™s Watch. If that€™s the case then she needs to stick around at least long enough to accomplish that goal. Plus you figure she€™s good for at least three or four more nude scenes next season. But if/when she helps bring back everyone€™s beloved bastard, there€™s really no more use for her. Imagine a scenario where she gives a sacrifice to resurrect Jon Snow, and upon being revived he becomes outraged at the notion that his life cost someone else theirs and banishes her - or better yet slays her - himself. We€™ll have the ashy taste of Shireen€™s terrible death in our mouths for some time to come. Someone has to pay for that tragedy, and since her father is no longer around that falls to Melisandre.
