Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'Home'

1. Melisandre's Sudden Discovery

Yes, Jon coming back is great, and the scene in which it happened was very well executed. But... I'm not so sure on the way Melisandre's powers were handled.

After last week revealed her true self, this episode shows her downbeat, sulking by a completely non-magical fire. It's up to Davos to ask the question about her bringing Jon back, and when Melisandre says she doesn't have that power, Davos' response is "have you ever tried?" And then she does try, and it works! Melisandre being able to do this shouldn't be that much of a surprise, given what we saw last week and everything else she's done, but it felt like it got from 'I can't do it' to 'Oh, it's done' ridiculously quickly.
