Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'The Broken Man'

8. Theon And Yara

Game of Thrones Theon

Theon has slowly been regaining some of his former self this season, since his escape from Ramsay, but he is still a broken man. That comes through in Alfie Allen's performance, in his cracked voice, frightened eyes, and way he refuses to lift his head and make eye contact.

In this episode, he takes the next big step to getting back to being Theon, thanks to his sister Yara. Although the two haven't had the closest of relationships, her care for him comes through here, and it amounts to a touching moment between the siblings; a more touching one than their reunion earlier in the year.

Yara is the strong one here, and the one making plans for what they'll do next. Gemma Whelan also deserves praise for the way she's stepped up and handled Yara's more prominent role, and the pair work really well together, particularly in this scene.
