11. Ellaria Kills Doran
After Doran and Ellaria reminisce about Oberyn and Doran then receives news of Myrcella's death, Ellaria plunges a small blade into his chest.
Ellaria then chides Doran for not avenging Elia's rape and murder nor Oberyn's death, and as Doran asks after his son Trystane, Ellaria tells him such weak men will never rule Dorne again.
It's a peculiar moment because the motivation behind killing Doran just seems a little off: what better way to avenge Oberyn than killing his brother, right? Also, another of the show's best actors getting killed off is always something to lament.
Fans were also miffed that Doran's trusty bodyguard, Areo Hotah, was killed off in such anti-climactic fashion, stabbed to death by Tyene without putting up a fight.
