Game Of Thrones Season 6: 25 Most Epic Moments

8. The Hound Is Back

Season 6 was the season of bringing characters back. None were more surprising or more crowd-pleasing than the return of everyone's favorite chicken-lover.

We find Sandor Clegane in the Riverlands, recovered from his brawl with Brienne. He's living a much quieter life, helping build a sept for a kindly soldier-turned-holy-man played by the outstanding Ian McShane. But The Hound can't escape violence and once Brother McShane is murdered, he's off on a path of vengeance. That path reunites him with the Brotherhood Without Banners, who offer him redemption by joining them as they head North for the real battle.

Despite coming back a changed man, the show wisely kept intact the aspects we love so much about The Hound (i.e. insults and killing). It's also nice to see him with a purpose as more than one person told him it's not too late to make up for the bad he's done. What his exploits in the North will entail remains to be seen, but I'm sure we'll be giving the White Walkers a rough time.
