Game Of Thrones: Season 6 - 5 Clues From The "Book Of The Stranger" Trailer

2. The Lannisters Can't Be Shamed Further

There's a bit hint here that Margaery might be about to cut a deal with the High Sparrow, believing that her admission of her sins will lead to either mercy or the release of her brother, who presumably isn't doing too well at the minute.

Obviously, everyone on the outside can see this is an error, as it's unlikely we'll see another slap on the wrist and a walk of shame. The High Sparrow is a nasty piece of work under all of his honourable outer layers, proving in "Oathbreaker" that he's not entirely a man of his word, and I wouldn't put it past him to trick Margaery into repenting and implicating the Lannisters further and being rewarded with a capital punishment from the Faith.

Clearly, for her own sake (as expressed by her returning grandmother) and Cersei's, it has to be stopped. Will this exchange (no doubt barbed with some nice bitchy asides as usual) see a Lannister plan to take down the Church formed properly? Or will Cersei realise that killing Margaery is probably the best solution to a lot of her current problems?
