Game Of Thrones Season 6: 7 Things You Might've Missed In 'The Red Woman'

1. Jon's Blood Splatter

Game of Thrones Jon Snow blood Targaryen

The episode opens with Jon Snow's corpse, a clever move by Weiss and Benioff to really drive home the point everyone involved with the show has been making for the past 9 months: he really is dead (though that was never really the issue - it's the fact he won't be staying dead).

Still, in this scene the focus is obviously Jon Snow, rather than the pool of blood he's lying in. However, once the Night's Watch move his body, Davos' gaze does linger on the spot. Why?

Well, some have noticed that the blood splatter surrounding Jon looks a little familiar. Namely, it looks like a dragon. I'll admit that I can see where people are coming from, if I'm not 100% convinced. There was a behind the scenes shot earlier that looked a little clearer, while we've also been through this before: after the Season 5 finale, fans suggested the blood was forming the House Stark direwolf.

It's probably best to be skeptical here, but so much care and foreshadowing goes into this show, that it wouldn't be a surprise if it was entirely deliberate.

What do you think: is this a dragon or total nonsense? Anything else you spotted in The Red Woman? Share your thoughts and finds down in the comments.
