It's hard to feel anything like sympathy for Melisandre, given what she convinced her dear departed master to do last season, but she's still a charismatic anti-hero, and the idea of seeing her depressed and not conniving is disheartening.

Hopefully the repeated image of her flirting with fire is an indication that she's going to be getting her mojo back. Whether that's to revive Jon Snow or to go and find Gendry and rescue him for the eternal row remains to be seen, but either would do at this stage.
