Winter is almost here, and so too is Game of Thrones Season 7.

The Long Night is drawing to a close at last, with the series making its delayed return next month, and to help build hype HBO recently dropped a brand new trailer.

Its release was slightly surprising - unlike major movies, Thrones trailers do have a habit of coming out of nowhere - but wholly welcome. The new trailer is even better than the first, and offers a glorious tease of what we can expect to see this year.

Based on the new footage, this is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Yes, that is said every year, but it's rarely unfounded, and with just seven episodes on a 10-episode budget, this could be truly epic. Just in these two minutes alone we see at least four potentially massive battle sequences, as well as major characters and storylines coming together like never before.

A ever there's a veil of secrecy around the episodes: once again, critics won't be getting screeners, and the new trailer doesn't give too much away either. However, with a closer look, there are plenty of hints we can discern about what's going to happen when July 16 finally gets here.
