Game Of Thrones Season 8: 10 Huge Questions 'A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms' Leaves Behind
4. Will Winterfell's Dead Rise?
The Crypts are safe. You'll be better off in the Crypts. The Crypts are the place to be. Hoo-boy, if there's one place you'll be safe when all this kicks off, it's those Crypts. Yesiree.
As if the point wasn't clear, there are SO many mentions of the Crypts and how safe they are this week, which is absolutely going to prove not to be the case in episode 3. So does that mean the dead will rise?
We hear talk of reanimating as a wight in this episode too, through Tyrion, which paired with the mentions of the Crypts feels like direct foreshadowing of seeing some dead folks rising when everyone thinks they're safe below ground. The twist is that a lot of those bodies down there will just be bones by now, and some - like Ned - don't even have a head. But, say, Rickon, who Jon specified be buried down there? Yeah, he's coming back, isn't he?
All that's before you get to the reanimation of characters who die in next week's episode. Or in other words, prepare for that little pseudo-Shireen girl to turn into a wight, and it to be utterly horrible.
