Game Of Thrones Season 8: 10 Things Fans HATED

That empty feeling after the finale? You're not alone.

Is Game of Thrones discussion already reaching its most exhausting point? We've had one of the most monumentally divisive seasons in TV history, a smattering of plot decisions that resulted in thousands of opinions every week supporting or tearing them down, and a finale that... did its best.

Ask a random group of fans and it's hard to reach a consensus, but I can't help but realise even the most staunch defenders know what they're backing is full of holes. Because even if you view the show holistically; you've done the due diligence and rewatched older seasons to pluck things out that support things like "Dany's eventual turn", it doesn't save how much season 8 drops the ball.

If anything, returning to the older highs of the show (Tyrion's trial, the Massacre at Hardhome, the Red Wedding etc.) only show how much of a different beast it was back then. With the aid of George R.R. Martin's source material and more consistent consultation, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss positively soared as adaptive scriptwriters.

Going into the later seasons though? That started to wane, culminating in a finale - and a show - with far, FAR more questions than answers.
