Game Of Thrones Season 8: 7 Ups And 3 Downs From 'The Last Of The Starks'
Downs...
3. Ghost
Ghost survived The Long Night, somewhat surprisingly given how he charged into the sea of wights alongside the Dothraki, but for what?
As Jon Snow leaves Winterfell, he says a number of poignant goodbyes to his friends, including Sam and Tormund. Even Gilly gets a hug. But what about Ghost? What about the direwolf who has been with him since the opening moments of the show? What about the loyal companion who signifies his identity, who provides him with a connection to the North and the Starks, who would always be by his side no matter what, who he's supposed to have an unspoken, undying bond with, and who was injured fighting in his war?
He gets sent north of the Wall, and doesn't even get so much of a pet goodbye. In a sense, it fits with the show's absolutely dire portrayal of these wolves (that's not a good thing though), but also, f**k you Jon Snow. You could've at least thrown him a bone. Literal or figurative.
