Game Of Thrones Season 8 Breakdown: What 'The Bells' REALLY Means

3. Dany's Eyes Will Turn Back To The North

One of the biggest reasons that Jon has to deal with Dany pretty swiftly - without mentioning the fact that he's already just been partly responsible for the deaths of thousands in King's Landing - is that Dany almost outright tells him that once she's done with Cersei, she's going after Sansa.

Just like him, her love has blinded her to the truth of her betrayal, which was orchestrated by Jon Snow from the moment she said "don't tell anyone your secret that will destroy me" and he did precisely that. She goes out of her way to blame everyone but Jon and claims that Sansa has won when she forces her hand to kill Varys, while also threatening Tyrion with a similar fate.

It's pretty clear that Dany will turn her attention back to Sansa and the North, where she felt no love for her, and destroy her remaining enemies while also blaming her for making it so in the first place. Not only is she the Mad Queen incarnate, she also believes herself completely just in her actions. To a certain extent, she's not actually wrong, which is the brilliant complexity of this programme, but she's now dangerously close to making overt threats against the one thing Jon won't abide - his family.

Family was his justification for telling Sansa and Arya about his secret and it will be the reason he stands against Dany at the last.
