With the White Walkers attacking Last Heart and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake, it means we once again get to see the strange pattern that they leave behind.

The spiral symbol has become something of a calling card, but we also know that it was originally used by the Children of the Forest in their rituals. It connects the Children to the Walkers, but its greater significance - if there is any - is still unclear at this point, and might not be something we ever get answers to (at least not on this show).
