The Moment: I did warn you not to trust me. In the Great Hall, Lord Eddard Stark presents Lord Barristan Selmy with a note from the now deceased Robert Baratheon that names him as Protector of the Realm, assigned to rule as Regent until the heir comes of age. Cersei demands that the Lord of Winterfell swears fealty to Joffrey and after a brief contention of power between Neds men and those loyal to Joffrey, Neds true allies are slaughtered as a result of Baelishs betrayal. The Questions It Leaves: What is to become of Ned Stark now that he is a prisoner of the crown? He has been seen rubbing Cersei up the wrong way already, so this isnt good news for one of the fans favourite characters in Westeros. And what game is the slimy Baelish playing? This was the first hint at just how duplicitous he was.
