Of course Joffrey was going to feature on this list at some point. Definitely the most hated character in Game of Thrones and possibly in the whole of television history, we all cheered when he met his maker at his own wedding (a Game of Thrones wedding without at least three deaths is considered a dull affair). Hes spoilt, arrogant and downright evil, ordering the death of the shows main character (!) in Season 1 and abuses his daughter, his uncle and various prostitutes. The boy king is the epitome of awfulness and weve loved watching him carry out these horrendous acts every week. Why do we love to hate Joffrey? One reason Jack Gleeson. His performance over four seasons has been nothing short of extraordinary. Sure, Joffreys a jerk in the books but Gleesons performance elevated him to another level, ensuring that hell be remembered as one of the most iconic villains of television history alongside the likes of the Daleks, J.R. Ewing and Tony Soprano. As horrible as it might be to think, he'll be sorely missed on the show. The King is dead. Long live the King.
