7. No Bran Stark

It was suspected for a while, but the writers have confirmed that Bran Stark will not be making an appearance in Season 5 at all. Most devastatingly, that means there's no more Hodor for at least another year. "The fact is, even though we're making changes to the books and adapting as necessary, we're trying to keep the various storylines the same as the books and trying to keep them roughly parallel," explained executive producer David Beneioff in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. The events that took place last season, with regards to Bran's story, almost caught up with the books (and overtook them, in poor Jojen's case,) so it's understandable that they're taking a bit of a break on this one.
