The most disgusting scene in the history of Game Of Thrones is also arguably the most controversial. There is still discussion of the way in which the scene was intended to be acted and the way it was intended to be interpreted, given that it was majorly altered from the way in which it played out in the book. Following the death of King Joffrey, Cersei Lannister is mourning her son's death next to the corpse. She is joined by her brother and lover, Jaime, who attempts to get amorous with her next to the body of their son. Cersei tells him to stop, but Jaime forces himself on her and eventually rapes her on the floor of the Sept. It's tough to breakdown quite why this scene is so disgusting because there's so much going on; it depicts a brother raping his sister next to the body of their recently murdered incestuous son. Whether it was intended to be portrayed as rape or not (probably was), it clearly comes through as an act of extreme sexual violence on screen and it therefore must be considered the most disgusting moment of Game Of Thrones so far.
