Game Of Thrones: 11 Most Badass Moments

3. The King In The North

King Not long after that badass moment comes another which is arguably even more so. A discussion is taking place in the Stark camp over who they should back as king; Renly Baratheon is put forward, for instance, but Robb argues that since he is Robert's youngest brother, he has no claim to the throne over Stannis. Enter Greatjon Umber. He makes a brief speech denouncing any Southerner's claim to the North, before drawing his sword and pledging his loyalty to Robb, shouting "The King in the North!" as he bends his knee. Robb rises to his feet, and within seconds is surrounded by battle-hardened men two or three times his age, on their knees with their swords drawn, chanting those words in unison. Spine-tingling stuff, especially considering that the man who started the chant had his hand mutilated by Robb's direwolf not long before.
