13. What If Tywin Was Still In The Room?
HBOWhen Jaime and Varys freed Tyrion from the dungeons, they probably didn't foresee Tywin Lannister being murdered while he sat on the privy. Tywin held the most power of anyone in Westeros, yet this was a tragedy even he could have not prevented, but what if he was still in the bedroom when his son came knocking? If Tywin could have waited just a little longer to use the men's room, then he and Shae would have both been there to greet Tyrion. It's doubtful a man of Tyrion's size and strength could overpower both Tywin and Shae, nor would they have been as unprepared. As a result, Tyrion would most likely have met his maker, whilst Tywin would have lived on as head of house Lannister. Tyrion murdered his father and his whore, but had Tywin been a few seconds faster with his bowel movement, Tyrion's escape would have been for nothing.
