Game Of Thrones: 5 Winners & 5 Losers In 'Breaker Of Chains'

The Winners:

5. Sansa

Sansa has been trapped in a living hell for two whole seasons now, ever since her father€™s execution for treason. She suffered torment at the pleasure of Joffrey as his betrothed, before being hitched to Tyrion once Lady Margaery had entered the frame. Whilst her husband is by no means cruel to her €“ he doesn€™t mistreat her or hurt her physically, he even tries his best to see that she is comfortable and well off €“ he still represents the fact of her imprisonment in King€™s Landing. Tyrion is a Lannister, and regardless of his efforts towards her, he is, at the end of the day, one of her jailors. At this moment you may be asking, €œWhere is the win in all this?€ but we€™re getting to that. As Joffrey lies there choking, his face all purple, Sansa is fleeted away by her makeshift hero Ser Dontos whilst everyone is distracted. Cersei demands her arrest, as a co-conspirator with Tyrion in the King€™s murder, but suddenly they realise she is nowhere in sight. Tywin orders the city gates closed: no one is to leave the capital. Add in some tense chase music, and Sansa€™s flight from King€™s Landing makes for a rocking start to the episode. She makes it to safety, to a boat off shore, and at long last Sansa is free of the capital, free of the Lannisters, and free of her nightmare.
