Game Of Thrones Season 4: 12 Characters Who Could Steal The Show

1. Jon Snow

If there is any character who can shine the brightest this season, it€™s the bastard child of Ned Stark. As a main character you would expect them to have memorable scenes and dominate the screen with their presence. For Jon Snow, the opposite effect happens. Most of his memorable scenes come from his interactions with other actors who are more impressive. Jon has yet to stand out on his own without the help of others. A big problem with this is adapting the character to the small screen. An introvert like Jon is problematic as the audience cannot hear his thought, whereas in the books, he is much more understandable as we€™re able to dive into his thought process and feelings. Without the aid of narrators, we don€™t know what Jon is thinking. As a result, Jon just stares around in his default facial expression €“ depressed and mopey. Don€™t forget his open mouth too. Seriously, close it. This is the season where all that could change. As we move into the second half of SOS, Jon will be moving to arguably his best storyline in the series. A traitor to the Night€™s Watch, albeit under orders, he will not be coming home to a welcoming party. His sworn brothers will be out for blood for betraying them, and to make matters worse, the Wildings also want his head as well, which spices up their assault on the Wall. Everyone is out to get Jon, but with the looming threat of the Wildlings and no=one to lead the Night€™s Watch, they may need his help protecting the realm. Kit Harington will no longer be able to rely on his interactions with others. He will be up front and center. This story-line requires him to be able to command both a small army and the screen. He has to look, feel, and act like a leader to convince his sworn brothers and the audience that he can be taken seriously. The second half will prove to be the turning point in Jon Snow€™s character. No longer a child, he is forced into a war he himself will have to lead. The trailers have shown him in multiple actions scenes cutting down Wildlings, and that is what we like to see. This is the season where he can shine through his story, characterisation, and action scenes. By the end of the season, he should be solidified as the fan favorite his book counterpart is.
