The headstrong wildling warrior is a formidable foe, and the perfect counter-balance to Jon, who is torn between his love for her and his duty to the Night's Watch, but she's not long for this world. Ultimately it was duty that had the strongest pull, and he abandoned the wildlings and reported back to the Night Watch on their movements, for which Ygrette attacked him. In Season 4, obviously not taking the personal betrayal well, Ygrette joins a wildling attack on Castle Black and unfortunately joins the casualty last at the end of the battle. Method Dring a Wildling attack on the Wall, Ygrette is shot with an arrow through her heart, and Jon finds her mortally wounded on the battlefield, before she dies in his arms. Impact The death won't have as great an impact on While her death isn't as plot essential as some of the others, we expect the writers will keep it in for maximum angst.
