Game Of Thrones Season 4 Spoilers: 9 Characters Who Will Probably Die

5. The Hound

Having kidnapped Arya in order to ransom her back to Robb Stark (now impossible thanks to the events of the Red Wedding of course,) The Hound is forced to accept that his quest for a ransom will prove fruitless and the pair move from village to village. In the books, they come across two of Gregor's men - Polliver and the comically unjustly named the Tickler, who are both on Arya's death list - and end up in a fight with them when Ser Sandor gets drunk. The Hound kills Polliver, but is weakened by drunkenness and hunger, and though he emerges victorious, and the Tickler is fought off, his wounds prove to be serious. Clearly, with the Ticker already dead, this will require a rethink, but it's likely that battle will see the wounds that ultimately kill him being inflicted. Method Officially, he dies of infected wounds from his final battle, but the thing that really kills The Hound is his kidnapping of Arya, and by way of karmic retribution, though she dresses his wounds, the infection quickly takes hold and kills him, and Arya refuses to give him a quick death. The Impact Not as far-reaching as you might think, given that it's impossible to avoid the rumours the Hound is not actually dead. It does set up an intriguing character chnage for Arya
