Game Of Thrones: Tyrion's 10 Best Moments

2. Killing Tywin Lannister

HBOHBOTyrion Lannister has enough daddy issues to fill a whole season of The Jeremy Kyle show. Loathed, persecuted and ignored by his own father for his whole life, Tyrion would€™ve had a lot of time to do some thinking down in the dungeons of King€™s Landing. As expected, his brother Jamie Lannister comes through for his sibling and offers him an escape route away from his impending death. Does Tyrion take it? Yes, but not before a little detour. Murdering Shae was never part of the plan but love makes you do crazy things, and in search of his father, Tyrion discovers Shae in Tywin€™s bed. Overcome with rage, hurt and despair from both parties, Tyrion ends up strangling the woman who was too foolish to see that he was pushing her away because he loved her so much. Eventually Tyrion - armed with a crossbow - finds Tywin answering nature€™s call and the roles reverse; Tywin is defenceless. During the standoff, there is a noticeable change in Tyrion; a character that has always had an affinity for mercy is drained of any remorse or emotion before embedding two arrows in his father€™s body. It remains to be seen what will happen to Tyrion after stowing himself away on a boat out of King€™s Landing, but one thing is for certain, Tywin won€™t be able to dance again.
