3. Gendry Can Still Forge, The Hound Can Still Fight His Brother

The biggest surprise of the episode came with how many survivors there were from the Northern Raiders. Sure Benjen and Thoros died - proving that magic wasn't as useful as you might have thought - but a couple of other walking dead meat characters somehow made it out alive.

Ahead of the episode, it wouldn't have been too surprising if Tormund, Beric and maybe even Jorah were killed, while the teaser trailer seemed to also suggest Gendry might die (since The Hound ended up with his warhammer). But all ended up getting out of there alive, which seems to suggest they all have roles yet to play.

There might come a time when they die in future, but for now we can now be excited by the potential of seeing Gendry forging Valyrian weapons (which has to be his end-game), The Hound meeting - and fighting - The Mountain again, Jorah sacrificing himself for Dany, Tormund punching Jaime's smug face to mush over Brienne...
