Games Of Thrones Season 7: What 'Eastwatch' Really Means

1. The Magnificent Seven (Half Of Whom Will Die)

Game Of Thrones Jon Snow Tormund Beric Hound Thoros Westeros All Stars
HBO

So, what is this, some sort of Suicide Squad?

Just when you thought the episode would end with the revelation of Littlefinger's scroll-based plot, Jon Snow, Gendry, Davos and Jorah went North, reunited with Tormund and they discovered that The Hound, Beric Dondarrion and Thoros were in the dungeons trying to go North of the Wall too. Cue the establishment of a gloriously alliance between the coolest characters in the whole show (aside from Bronn). This sub-plot alone deserved to be a movie.

This band of wizened warriors are tasked with heading beyond the safety of the Wall's border to kidnap a wight, and it's definitely not going to end well for them all. That much is devastating when you consider how many of these characters are A-star level guys.

It's pretty much certain that Thoros, Beric and Tormund will die, while Gendry is a possibility and someone else might end up being killed and revived (why else would Thoros being there be so key?). And honestly, a lot of fans are going to drown in tears by the end of the next episode, by the look of it.
