Carol's TV character has evolved far beyond the comics and has a totally different persona. In the show she is a hardened player of mind games, completing some of the hardest tasks in the entire show for the good of the group. However in the comic books she is a 25-year-old woman who simply can't cope with the new world. She's weak and heavily dependant on those around her. As they withdraw support, her mental state slides beyond return and she crumbles. She even suggests to Lori that she could enter into a three-person marriage with her and Rick, and is genuinely stunned when the ludicrous proposal is rejected. We prefer TV Carol.
