Good Omens Teaser Trailer: 10 Things You Might've Missed
2. Pollution
The appearance of one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse is one of the briefest, but one of the most memorable, in the teaser. Almost dreamlike in appearance, Pollution - who, in the book, subs in for Pestilence after that horseman retired with the invention of Penicillin - stands where he did in his introduction, beside a polluted river.
Even from silhouette alone, his look his quite striking, and perfectly visualising the description of his character in the book—“His hair was white, his skin chalk pale. He looked like Victorian Romantic poets looked just before the consumption and drug abuse really started to cut it.”
Also mentioned is his white clothing, and his crown, both of which are seen caked in the grime and filth he revels in.
His appearance is blink-and-you-miss-it, yet haunting and iconic, and heralds the threats to come with the Apocalypse being nigh.
