Barbara Kean and James Gordon's relationship on Gotham has already been shown to be very different in the comics. Initially engaged at the beginning of the show, they wind up breaking up far earlier than they did in the source material; just in time, too, since Barbara's revealed to be an unhinged murderer who killed her parents.
