Gotham: Every Major Hero Ranked From Worst To Best

Prior to seeing himself become a villain (in classic Gotham style), Captain Barnes was probably one of the most heroic characters in all of the show.

The Captain's soldier-like attitude to crime-fighting made for an incredibly satisfying (yet sometimes utterly ridiculous) watch that not even the boy scout mannerisms of Gordon could match, but - as seemingly with all good things - Barnes' war on crime came to an end when he became the very thing he initially sought to destroy.

This complete change of character only illuminated one of the show's worst qualities: turning one of the few good souls into a cartoonish villain somehow more absurd than the original comic book versions they were based on.
