Gotham Or Arrow: Who Said It - Alfred Pennyworth Or Oliver Queen?

Looking at Stephen Amell and Sean Pertwee’s characters, then, who said it – Alfred or Oliver?

Gotham and Arrow may have both now concluded, but the two of these shows certainly left their mark on the genre TV landscape, serving up some of the best comic book-driven TV ever seen.

It wasn’t always perfect for either of these series, yet so many fans have such brilliant memories of Gotham’s five seasons and Arrow’s eight seasons – not to mention the numerous crossovers The CW’s Emerald Archer show found itself a part of.

Given how he was the titular Arrow, Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen was clearly vital to the success of that series. Likewise, Sean Pertwee’s Alfred Pennyworth was vital in guiding young Master Bruce from troubled orphan to burgeoning Dark Knight over in the grim and grotesque streets of Gotham City.

Both Oliver and Alfred found themselves forever being mentors in their respective shows, with Amell’s Master Bowman becoming the voice of wisdom for the countless other heroes who would come to inhabit the greater Arrowverse. As for Alfred, that guidance of Batman-in-waiting was obviously hugely important.
