2. How Will Gordon React To Barbara's Pregnancy?
Barbara Kean and Jim Gordon may have once been lovers, but it's safe to assume that that ship has well and truly sailed. However, because of the hell that the pair have found themselves living in, they did find some comfort in one another several episodes prior to this one, and it appears as if this one night stand will have huge ramifications on the narrative going forward.
During the latest instalment, Babs revealed to her almost-hubby that she's pregnant. Gordon wasn't given much of an opportunity to react given that both Harvey Bullock and Lee Thompkins were present in the room when he received this news.
How he feels on this matter is yet to be revealed, but given that the Batman mythology dictates that Gordon and Barbara become the parents of Batgirl, it's likely that Gotham's iteration of Barbara will be keeping the baby regardless of what the GCPD captain's wishes are. However, learning that he's to become a father could prove fruitful for Jim's arc, as this will likely encourage him to continue making the world a better place.
