Scarecrow is one of Batman's most iconic and fearful adversaries and appears to be playing a bigger role than ever in Season 5.
He was one of the first villains to feature in Gotham's Season 5 promotional material, leading a gang of loyal followers. With these followers, he will be a bigger threat to Gotham's safety than ever before. Unlike most of the crime lords though, Scarecrow will be focused more on chaos than power, watching Gotham dissolve into fear.
Jim Gordon will no doubt be subjected to Scarecrow's gas multiple times across the season and in typical Jim Gordon fashion, should be able to overcome it. He will most likely take down Scarecrow and with their leader gone, his followers will scatter and no longer be a threat.
