Gotham Season 5 Premiere: 7 Major Questions We Have After Year Zero

While there were plenty of questions and conundrums left for us to decipher by the time the credits rolled on Gotham's opening episode, the biggest of them all actually arrived that the very beginning.

The opening scene of Year Zero is a flash-forward and takes place 304 days after the current events of the show. The puzzling bit is that the scene features Gordon and Bullock aligning themselves with Ed Nygma and Oswald Cobblepot, as the foursome prepare to go to war. It's an incredibly powerful scene, but it's also very confusing, as we're left wondering why the GCPD would align themselves with the villains of Gotham?

It certainly promises to be very exciting, and it's an alliance that we can look forward to seeing come about. It'll be interesting for sure, given how much animosity there currently is between Gordon and Oswald, so things must really take a turn for the worst if the two foes join forces. Who knows? We can only wait and see for ourselves.
