Gotham TV Series: 10 Batman Villains That Must Appear (And Who Should Play Them)

10. The Falcone Crime Family

carminefalcone Don't think were skipping over all of the mobsters? I fully expect The Falcone's to be the overarching villains present in Gotham and its inaugural season. These guys are the Corleone's of the DC Universe, and a pre-Batman story would be incomplete without it. Most comic fans will recognize the man above as the paterfamilias, Carmine Falcone. Carmine has previously appeared on film in "Batman Begins" where he was portrayed by Tom Wilkinson. To say he's the only dangerous and noteworthy member of the family however, would be in error. Other notable members include his father, Vincent Falcone, who during The Long Halloween story, took a bullet riddled Carmine to Wayne manor where seed were sewn for a connection between the two families. Mario Falcone, one of Carmine's sons is the Michael Corleone of the family. After surviving an attack by The Hangman that kills the officer that was overseeing his protective detail, Mario swears an end to his criminal activities. The Fredo of the family than is the man who in The Long Halloween took credit for the Holiday killings. He is an Oxford student, with a brilliant mind, and an ambition to follow in his father's footsteps and become the next head of the Falcone family. His efforts are pushed aside however by both his brother Mario, and his sister... Sofia is as dangerous as any of the men in her family. Sofia is a killer psychotic, cold, and cunning. She would become The Hangman. 24-kiefer-sutherland5Ideal Casting: As far as casting goes, I've always been a fan of the "Portrayal over looks" approach. For this one I'm only going to make an attempt at Carmine. For him I'd like to propose former Fox golden boy, Kiefer Sutherland. He's got the charm, the composure; he'd make the perfect mobster. And keep in mind this is a Fox series, not a blockbuster movie. My casting choices are done so accordingly

I'm a fan of pop-culture in all mediums: Music, Film, Gaming, Comics, TV, Whatever. I can generally find something enjoyable in even the worst trash. I guess as a B-Horror enthusiast, I kind of have to. Currently I'm an author working on a manuscript for a crime novel, and attending school to be an Environmental Health and Safety Technician. In the past I've made a go at running in an election for MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for my hometown of Glace Bay. I was 23 at the time, and though I lost (by like a lot), I learned a lot more about politics in a month than I ever learned. Get at me on Twitter @DanWilsonWC
